JUNE-T.-BROWN-lifesize-black-bear-clay-010-Copy-150x150It’s hard to believe that this time has actually come to fruition.  After months of fundraising (and we’re still working on that), I have found the time and energy to start to bring the International Gateway Roundabout in Incline Village, Nevada, to life.  Here is a recent picture of me at the foundry in Salt Lake City with my new friend.  It’s one of seven life-sized commissioned bronze sculptures that I will be working on throughout the summer months.  Although I have donated all of my time to produce these incredible beasts, we’re still in need of donations to help install the public art and protect them for years to come.  If you have any insight about Public Art grants or  family trusts that support projects like this, I’d love to have the opportunity to show them what our community has planned for what will be one of the Nation’s most talked about Gateways with spectacular Lake Tahoe as its backdrop.   Stay tuned for more photos and updates as I continue to bring the Gateway to life!
