After studying the aerodynamics of bird feather patterns and flight with master artist, Sandy Scott, I acquired a new respect for the world of birds. No matter what the species, all bird wings have the same configuration from the smallest canaries to the majestic structure of eagles. There is one exception – the Condor. My guess is I’ll never get close enough to find out if this is fact or fiction yet my resources tell me it’s fact; I’ll let it at that. I was so inspired by Sandy’s insight that I chose to push my talent to show the bird in both mythical and real life-size sculptures.
