Destination Art Fair of the West
With a draw to the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe and the majestic High Sierra, Reno / Lake Tahoe has long been home to a significant fine arts community, with many regionally based artists and bespoke furniture designers featured in the finest galleries in the world.
The Reno Tahoe International Art Show, which ran for the first time September 8-11, 2022, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, presented collectors, art buyers, designers, and consultants with a wide array of new and better fine arts and furnishings at prices untouched by a pressured market.
Founded by Reno-based father-daughter team Kevin O’Keefe and Briana Dolan, the RTIA Show anchors the Reno Creative Movement, a vision to position Reno Tahoe as a nationally recognized destination for arts and culture.
The RTIA Show is unique to the region, showcasing local talent alongside independent artists, national and international galleries and special features such as the First Nations, Indigenous Peoples Pavilion, Neon Exhibit and Short Film Programming curated by Reno Tahoe’s Cordillera International Film Festival. Also unique to the area is the RTIA Show’s ‘Post Playa Art’ presenting large-scale sculpture from Black Rock Desert’s Burning Man, which takes place just hours outside of Reno in the weeks ahead of the show. The sculpture presentation extends through the RTIA Show Sculpture Walk, featuring world-class sculptural works created by artists from around the world, including members of the National Sculpture Society (new to 2023) and those affiliated with Buffalo Creek Art Center.
Art and design enthusiasts enjoy RTIA Show’s lively, sophisticated exhibition filled with beautiful art and creative design, set off by live music performances, on-floor Talks and ongoing hospitalities.
The 2023 RTIA Show will double the footprint of the inaugural show, adding new features including the Welcome Lobby’s 20,000′ featured sculpture and classic and rare car pairings, the Art City Invitationals, an expanded FNIP Pavilion and live neon demonstrations.
